We are looking for an experienced and passionate Escalator Repair Engineer to join our Scotland & North division, based in Manchester. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining our clients' escalators throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain customer escalators
- Repair or replace escalator parts as needed
- Respond to mechanical failures and breakdowns
- Conduct safety checks and risk assessments
- Plan and manage workload around assigned jobs
- Maintain van stock and order supplies through our supply chain
- Recommend parts and equipment for quoting or ordering to ensure escalator compliance
- Participate in out-of-hours work on a pro rata basis
Who We Are Looking For
- NVQ3 in Escalator Engineering or equivalent qualifications
- Full UK Driving License with the ability to travel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to use initiative and collaborate effectively with others
- Positive attitude and openness to change
- Highly organized
- Superior customer-care skills
- Ability to self-assess and take ownership of personal development
- Strong advocate for Health & Safety regulations in the workplace
